I managed to increase my division lead from only half a game to 1 game. That’s still not enough to make me comfortable – especially when I play my wife’s brother this week who has a pretty strong team.

Things are tightening up. I had my ass handed to me by my buddy Jiffy this week, and now I’m only at the top of our division by half a game. Pucker factor is starting to rise!

I won again this week to go to 3-0-1 but I’m not sure I can brag too much. My friend Bryan didn’t even bother to replace two of his players who were on bye. Guess I’ll take it where I can get it.

Managed to pull out the beat down on my buddy this week. I’m now 2-0-1. I still can’t believe that tie in Week 2. And notice my friggin Defense got ZERO points. So annoying.

I was getting beaten by one of my friends, Elizabeth, but I managed to stage a Monday Night Football comeback on the shoulders of Santonio Holmes. At the end of the night, nfl.com showed me as the winner with the final score being 74 – 72. Then I start looking at my team on Thursday to prepare for Week 3, and I notice that we’re tied at 74! I have no idea what happened. I guess nfl.com made an error during the near real-time scoring updates they provide on the matchup page. Very disappointing to say the least…

I went a bit goofy this year and joined 4 fantasy football leagues. Don’t ask me why I was that ambitious, but I can tell already that only a couple of them are going to get any close attention. The main league I want to win is the one I started. Several of my good friends and some folks from work are in that league. My wife actually won the whole thing last year, and I came in second. I know – “you got beat by a girl!”. Believe me, when it comes to fantasy football, my wife is no “girl”.
