I have JUST finished this battle (like, 10 minutes ago), after 2h56m and 115 deaths. This is not figure of speak, me and my partner died ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN times facing Jill. Eventualy we developed the technic you describe above, but the only way we could rip the freaking device from her chest required the development of a new combate mode. First, don't try to rip it right away from her. You know why. Instead, knock her down and WAIT. Again, DON'T TRY TO REMOVE THE DEVICE! Both of player must then stay on top of her, on oposite sides. When she starts to move, start pressing the grab button fanatically while walking few steps close to her. If done correctly, she will be immediately grabbed by one of you. Use a small gun to shoot the device and throw her again. Repeat the process about 10 times (for safety) and you probably depleted the device life. When you start to feel lucky, go on top of her and remove. If you did everything OK, it should come out right on the first attempt. After 114 deaths we decided to try this new approach. It failed the first time, but only because we had to fine tune it.
